Can anyone share with me their current protocol for GFR thresholds and if you currently have one, your IV Hydration protocol when administering Iodinated Contrast Media? We've been using an outdated protocol that we had received input from a Nephrologist but that was years ago and now the ACR contrast manual has become very vague. We currently require IV Hydration on patients with a GFR 30-39 (1hr pre- 6hrs post/Sodium Bicarb mix) and PO hydration on patients with a GFR 40-59. University Medical Center down the road only does IV Hydration when GFR is <30...
