Multidisciplinary conferences (MDCs), during which providers participating in different aspects of a patient’s care convene to discuss issues that may influence treatment, are a vital component of high-quality patient care. MDCs provide a forum for experts to think collectively, generate insights that guide management, and improve care coordination [ 1 ]. Radiologists are essential members of the MDC team, addressing specific questions regarding imaging findings [ 2 ]. Radiologists learn a great deal from participation in MDCs, including what information is valued by referring clinicians and how management may be affected by specific imaging findings. MDCs help radiologists build relationships with providers and increase their visibility and recognition, which are critical in the current environment of commoditization.
