Hi there,
Wondering if Jack from GE or Dr Fish could assist me with the rotation time that is used during DE ( kv switching) acquisition ? Thanks in advance !
Do you get the pretty iodine maps post processing that the siemens DS get on their work station ?

The rotation time is one of the variables that you do have control of within a GSI protocol. All the protocols have a rotation time pre-populated, but it is adjustable. The fastest rotation time for body imaging is 0.4 sec. The United Kingdom has a product that is pending approval in the United States called GSI Cardiac and in that configuration for use only in cardiac imaging a rotation time of 0.35 sec. is possible.
As far as iodine, or any other material, color images, overlays, and effective Z maps can be generated by using the color pallete in the My Tools area.
I hope that helps. Obviously you are looking for ways to tailor your protocols for optimum IQ and diagnostic capabilities. Please be sure you are incorporating the use of the ALARA principle in your considerations. Good luck and good scanning!

Thank you very much Jack for your reply to my question- it has clarified a few issues. As always this is a great tool for CT rads out there and o am sure we are all equally appreciative of all your time and efforts.
