Elliot,
I father is seeing an ENT group who owns their own CT. It is called a "Xoran". They claim it has better resolution but more importantly that is "low dose" .
Can you comment on that?
Best regards,
Steve

here is the published info from the company website
let me see what else i can find out. the last sentence about not seeing soft tissue is a bit worrisome to me
this is from the website of the company:
Cone-beam CT scanner for point-of-care imaging of the sinuses, skull base, and temporal bones
Specifically designed for head and neck imaging tasks that are critically dependent on spatial resolution
High-quality CT scan to visualize small anatomic structures, critical to assessing morphology and pathological processes
High-definition spacial resolution with slices as thin as 0.3mm for temporal bones and capability of 600 projection frames
Versatile images of temporal bones for digital manipulation with curved real-time multiplanar reconstructions
Supplies volume CT data for preoperative planning assistance for head and neck surgery
Compact CT scanner gives ENTs and Allergists the ability to provide point-of-care diagnosis with innovative CT technology
Provides lower radiation dose than CT scans by a full-body CT scanner
Patient sits comfortably upright in an open, patient-friendly design
IGS compatible
*MiniCATâ„¢ does not detect soft tissue
