From inception, the vision of the Image Gently (IG) Alliance (originally called the Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging) has been a global one. Its mission is, through advocacy, to improve safe and effective imaging care of children worldwide. Over a decade ago, the steering committee of the campaign committed to a simple message of assurance, of collaboration and learning (with free educational materials to this community), and of openness to all stakeholders who are involved in the imaging care of children . The goal was—and is—to change the way we practice.
