Scan Comments: Scan ranges are limited to a specific area of interest to avoid unnecessary patient dose. Dual energy post-processing software can be used to eliminate the need for acquiring non-contrast images. Dual energy is used only for the arterial phase images in order to reduce the number of images generated for each study. Single energy is used for all other phases. For specific technical parameters, see the single energy kidney mass protocol. All scans are performed using the ALARA principle. 3D post-processing is performed with this protocol.

Comments: Images are acquired using 100/140 kvp setting with a Sn filter. Dose reduction software is used to reduce patient dose. The pitch value should remain below 1.0 to reduce any artifacts during post-processing.
